By far the most cost-effective thing you can do, walking along the streets of Singapore is an often overlooked activity that can lead to new and unexpected discoveries. Even though Singapore isn’t very large, it’s still possible to find an area that you or your family have never explored. If everyone in the group is physically inclined, maybe a hike at MacRitchie reservoir or cycling at Pulau Ubin would appeal to them. Adults can find time after that to try out a new cafe, or check out one of the many Christmas light-ups in town that may come with good shopping offers.
Savings tip: Many of Singapore’s museums also offer free or discounted admission to residents in case you feel like indulging your artistic side.
A fun day out and about doesn’t have to be expensive as there are plenty of things you can do that won’t break the bank. Your family is not really going to care how much something costs, they would much rather spend quality time with you. With only a few weeks left until the end of 2017, do take this opportunity to relax, reflect, and refresh yourself in preparation for the year to come.
